Business Studies is offered as a Key Stage 4 Option.

The OCR Business Studies course helps students gain a thorough understanding of the dynamics of business activity.

The course covers:-

The External Environment of Business

Business Structure and Organisation

Finance

Production

Marketing

People in Business

Aiding and Controlling Business Activity

It is assessed through three final examinations, one of which is a Case Study. Pupils study the documents of a company or several weeks before the examination and are then asked questions during the examination based on this company.  There is no coursework element.

Pupils will be entered for either the Higher Tier final examination (Grades A-D) or Foundation Tier (Grades C-G).
