Head's Welcome

Welcome to The St Augustine of Canterbury School. We hope that this website will form a helpful introduction to a student’s life in our school community. Being a relatively small school, we look forward to getting to know you personally and hope by working together we will ensure your child has a happy and successful time here.

St Augustine’s is designated as a Specialist Science College. This benefits each and every student in the school by the provision of state of the art computer and science facilities. We are also a Church School where every child matters and will be encouraged to achieve their full potential in the classroom and in their wider communities and Spiritually.

In March 2005, OfSTED inspectors visited the school and were very impressed by the relationships between staff and students. This, amongst other things, was considered a great strength of the school. The Leadership of the school was also praised and this will continue to impact over the coming months and years.

The extra-curriculum activities within St Augustine’s are wide ranging and we have successful Football and Cricket teams.

There is something at St Augustine’s which will appeal to every child. We welcome and encourage close contact with parents and carers. Every student will be tracked academically on a termly basis and any performance issues will be quickly identified and tackled.
